Google Docs
If you are anywhere where technology and collaboration are being discussed, you here about Google docs.  There is a word processor, spreadsheet and drawing app.  Many people are using these when they are collaborating with others on a document. 

Google Calendar
Since our Outlook calendar is available on any computer, google calendar is not necessary for work but Google calendar is an option for  a classroom or group calendar. 

Google Reader
Google reader enables a user to mark websites so that if there is any update on the website, the user is notified.  It is basically an rss feed.

Google Squared
Google squared is a different way to search google where results are put in a chart format.  This is still a beta (in progress) app but I think this is pretty cool.  Give it a try, go to http://www.google.com/squared and put in Red Wing hotels.

Google Scholar
Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.
